Couture Fights Noguiera At UFC 102: Live Streaming

This weekends UFC schedule is full of exciting fights. The headline fight is the Couture vs Noguiera fight and should be a great one. Although many people think both of these fighters are over the hill and past their prime, each of them have posted big victories over top ten competition in recent fights.

Randy Couture’s record doesn’t justify the consistent placement he tends to get in that he gets to fight so many title bouts. He seems to automatically be placed toward the top of the pack in his weight division despite a dismal 16-9 record. He has faced some of the highest quality opponents that the UFC could offer and many say it has taken a toll. He has been knocked out by the likes of Liddell and Lesnar in a couple of his most recent defeats.

In three of four of Minotauro’s last fights he has defeated Tim Sylvia, Josh Barnett and Heath Herring. All three of his opponents were rated in the top 5 of their divisions when he fought and defeated them. His latest bout was a TKO at the hands of Frank Mir, who surprised everyone, including Minotauro, by using a stand up attack against him.

He has posted 31-5-1 record and faced some of the best competition doing it. One remarkable fact on his record is that he has defeated Heath Herring all three times he has fought him.

If you compared each fighter’s style, the bout would favor Noguiera. Having a black belt in BJJ and a great dirty boxing repertoire as well puts Antonio into a different realm than Couture. Noguiera is known for being a slow starter but Couture isn’t heavy handed enough for that to make much of a difference.

Antonio has a world class chin and an amazing skill to come back after being nearly knocked out, he will give Couture all he can handle and then some.

Neither fighter really has the knock out power of a Liddell so you can plan on this fight going into the second or third rounds. This will give Minotauro an advantage because of this ability to deal with Couture’s significant ground game.

Though Couture has been underestimated in many of his bouts and still come out the victor, this match up that outcome doesn’t seem likely.

All the same, you’ll be missing out on some 24 carat treasures if you don’t stray beyond the centre. The beating, historic heart of Vienna remains the Innere Stadt (The Inner City). At its centre rises the ancient gothic cathedral of St. Stephens, whose spire has stood unbroken for centuries.

The entire of the Innere Stadt is encircled by a sweeping nineteenth century ringroad – the Ringstrasse – which follows the line of the aged medieval walls. Along it you’ll find some of Vienna’s grandest institutions, such as the Rathaus, the Houses of Parliament, the museums of Art and Natural History and swish hotels such as the Imperial. Just a whisker west of the Ring lies the brand spanking fresh Museumsquartier, one of the world’s most thrilling cultural complexes. Further west, major crowd-pullers involve Schonbrunn Palace and its brilliant Zoo, whilst to the south, the Belvedere offers a banquet for culture vultures.
