College Party Theme Ideas

Partying is why we go to college in the first place, lets face it, it’s the truth. It’s the best time to be throwing parties, but don’t let your first party be a boring run of the mill party! Try one of our college party theme ideas. Take a look at the list for some inspiration.
1. Hollywood – A Hollywood theme party can be further broken into smaller themes. A favourite movie, an actor or perhaps an oscar night? Your friends will appreciate the opportunity to dress up as glamorous as possible and this theme is easy to throw as many of the props needed, most people already have!
2. Toga – A Toga party is a college favourite due to it’s simplicity. All you need really is a bed sheet wrapped around you. Make sure you’re wearing sandals and little else! Try to recreate ancient Greece with your decor, pillars and busts etc.
3. Mexican – Get some Mexican flags for your venue. Red, white and green balloons for the 3 flag colors. Send your invitations out on mini Mexican sombreros. Cacti are very cheap and easy to maintain after the party. Also you could get a giant inflatable cactus.
4. James Bond – Hire a Russian security guard to check for concealed weapons on entrance. Perhaps you could have a Casino sub theme for your party like in Casino Royale and many other Bond films.
5. Hawaiian – Hire a pro cocktail maker or have menus so your guests can make their own such as the Aloha or the Hawaiian Heartbreaker. Get some beach balls and don’t forget a limbo stick.
6. French – Let your friends know that to be authentic, they have to go a week without showering. Wear black and white horizontal stripey tops and berets. Drink fancy wine and eat cheese on French loaf.
