High School and College Party Theme Ideas

Partying is why we go to college in the first place, lets face it, it’s the truth. It’s the best time to be throwing parties, but don’t let your first party be a boring run of the mill party! Try one of our college party theme ideas. Take a look at the list for some inspiration.
1. Hollywood – A Hollywood theme party would impress your college buddy’s like no other! It is quite an easy one to pull off too because most people already have much of the props and costumes needed. You can have a red carpet that leads up to your door where, once inside you could have a photographer who takes a glamour shot of your guest.
2. Toga – Toga parties are college favorites due to their ease and cost effectiveness. You need to recreate an ancient Greek or Roman setting perhaps with pillars and busts etc. The toga is extremely simple to make, it can in fact be a white bed sheet and you are set.
3. Mexican – The Mexican party is an opportunity for singing, dancing and eating Mexican food. The ladies will be expected to wear a Mexican fiesta dress, they are very beautiful and they will love the chance to wear it. Also a lei will complete the outfit. Guys wear ponchos and sombreros, perhaps even a gun in a holster.
4. James Bond – Hire a Russian security guard to check for concealed weapons on entrance. Perhaps you could have a Casino sub theme for your party like in Casino Royale and many other Bond films.
5. Hawaiian – This theme should centre around a surf shack. Ideally this is where your guests would make their own cocktails like the Aloha or the Hawaiian Heartbreaker. Scatter sea shells and coconuts around the place. The food should be plenty of fruit on skewers, allow your guests to skewer their own from the bowls provided.
6. French – Draw on a thin moustache for this theme and play French cafe music. Drink fancy wine and eat cheese on French loaf. The costumes will be hilarious with many people looking very similar. Don’t forget the onion necklace!
