The Indian Runner: Temperamental piece in reference to a youthful gentleman’s efforts to comprehend, and get closer to, his bothered baby sibling who’s just returned from Vietnam. The film is lazy at times, however filled with feeling and reality, and is relatively moving. Hefty acting jobs all around, with unconventional although powerful projecting of Bronson as the boys’ depressed dad. The Great Locomotion Chase: Real tale of Andrews’ Raiders (filmed before by Buster Keaton as The General) comes to life in this vibrant Disney film. Parker is renowned Union detective who leads a rowdy band in seizing and “abducting” a Confederate railroad. Cast includes Fess Parker, Jeffrey Hunter, Jeff York, John Lupton, Eddie Firestone, and Kenneth Tobey. (55 minutes, 1956)
Day of Wrath: Remarkably well put together drama in regards to an old lady implicated of being a sorcerer and the hex that she sets on the minister who is accountable for her flaming. Cast includes Thorkild Roose, Lisbeth Movin, Sigrid Neiiendam, Preben Lerdorff, and Anna Svierker. (100 minutes, 194)
The Gazebo: Unconventional comedy engaging death and a porch gazebo. The part players McGiver and Merande make this film work, however the megastars perform admirably. Cast includes Glenn Ford, Debbie Reynolds, Carl Reiner, Doro Merande, John McGiver, and Mabel Albertson. 101 minutes, 1959)
Iron Eagle 2: Comparably idiotic sequel, with General Gossett enlisting guide Humphrey to team with his Soviet counterparts on a secret mission in the Mideast. Cast includes Louis Gossett, Jr., Mark Humphrey, Stuart Margolin, Alan Scarfe, Sharon H. Brandon, and Maury Chaykin. (105 minutes, 1988)
The Mark: Whitman is phenomenal in his depiction of spiritually busted sex offender who has served his time and now desires to make new start. Cast includes Stuart Whitman, Maria Schell, Rod Steiger, Brenda De Hanzie, Maurice Denham, Donald Wolfit, Paul Rogers, and Donald Houston. (127 minutes, 1961)
Little Vegas: Discreet comedy rotating around unconventional characters in trailer park in a barren region that Mafia developers desire to turn into a “smaller vesion of Vegas. Cast includes Anthony John Denison, Catherine O’Hara, Jerry Stiller, Michael Nouri, Perry Lang, and Bruce McGill. (91 minutes, 1990)
Sense and Sensibility: Lucid, modern-day look at Jane Austen’s novel in reference to 2 recently impoverished siblings one impulsive and flirtatious, the other persistently hindered and made to suppress her sensations of love. The Day the Hot Line Got Hot: Weak try at espionage as spies mess up the Moscow Washington hot line, leading to global disaster. This was Robert Taylor’s very last performance. Cast includes Robert Taylor, Charles Boyer, George Chakiris, Dominique Fabre, and Gerard Tichy. (92 minutes, 1969)
